midi --> wav or mp3

hey
i'm looking at recording and using the bass and drums from a midi track. I've done this before and in the mixdown (i use cooledit 2.0) it wouldn't let me mix down the midis. does anybody know where i could find a midi to mp3 or wav converter? thanks
