Hrm, on second thoughts, I think you're right there. But if I could ever find a guitarist good enough (and the time, and the effort, to have a band... :upset: ) my band would have both.
Well whenyou pay for me to come over, you will have one right?

Naturally, Pretzel Cranium Head Boy.:)
I don't know, but there's something wrong with the world if it isn't New Born.
edit: I've had a look round, and apparently it's 'Plug in Baby'. It got 13th greatest riff ever according to ultimate-guitar .com.
Hrm, that's interesting. Though, if I remember rightly, whatever site I was on said that they won the greatest riff, not ever, but from the last five years, so maybe it was a different award. Could've been the same song though.

It was 13th. The greatest riff apparently is Guns and Roses something or other.

Great! So you're only using bass sometimes, when you're not using piano, right?
No, playing base parts...on the piano :P
OH, and secondly, who here can play space dimentia?
AHHHHHH its that tree again...

I dunno much bout the keyboard/piano but i know matt is a ****ing god, i also have very basic guitar skills and i know hes also **** gd at that, hes done some preatty **** orginal stuff, i'm a bass player and chris uses the bass for what its mean to be used for (hysteria anyone) for provideing a proper backing instrument, not just doing root notes and the 4 note basslines that dominate modern guitar music.
In my view muse are 1 of the greatest rock bands of modern times and they're only gonna get better & i'm sure me and the millions behind muse cant wait

I only just came across this thread, and have to agree with most of the others: Muse are absolutely awesome! However, for me they rank in as second behind Evanescence. My good friend PianoDan got me into them (Muse) not that long ago, so I'm still becoming familiar with all their stuff. Really love what I've heard, though!

Good to see this thread come back to life.

I can't play Space Dimentia, but I'm sure I could if I got my hands on the music. I can play B&H, that's very fun. :thumb:

I think Matt's a talented keys player alright. Where can I get a hold of the piano music to a few Muse songs?

Wrong. None of them went to University.

Muse rock, they were amazing live when I saw them last year. I absolutely adore Muse. I was contemplating learning piano/keyboard just to be able to play some of their songs, as apposed to just on guitar. I can play a little keyboard already, but it would take to long to be able to play a Muse song and do it justice.
I love Muse

As impressive as it sounds, and as well as Matt plays it - and he does play it very well - it really is nothing more than four or five different arpeggios played rather quickly. Apart from the fact that it's played at a fast tempo, it really is technically quite easy.
I do agree - it's really cool. But it's a tad overrated - Matthew Bellamy isn't Franz Liszt.

Butterflies and Hurricanes as a single? Brilliant, that's my favourite song off the album, and I really love that interlude. It showcases the fact that Bellamy is better than virtually every other pianist in rock music so well.
Yea the vidio for its great, i love the pianio inturleude, but theyve changed the song a bit, theyve added more guitar riffs and made it a little bit harder.
