I've never really been a fan of The Black Keys, but I gotta say that this hip hop project they're doing looks really interesting. The record was overseen by Damon Dash, recorded over 11 days and features an insane list of guests. Raekwon, Rza, Mos Def, Q Tip, Pharoahe Monch, Jim Jones, Ludacris are just some of the people that have laid down verses for it.

It's released at the end of the month and you can check out the first track (featuring Mos Def and Jim Jones) right here;

There's also a track with Raekwon floating around the internet and I'm enjoying both tracks so far.

Word, this shit sounds pretty promising.

Heres the link to the Raekwon track called Stay Off the Fuckin Flowers. Its pretty sick, has an interesting beat, I'm pretty curious as to what the rest of the album will sound like. I'm really into hip-hop that uses primarily real, live instruments as opposed to all computer generated shit.

egh only the roots are good at live instrumentation. maybe i'll listen to the record, but it doesn't really interest me too much.
