View Full Version : DMV Thread
Alright, I can't find the old DMV thread I made but there are some ridiculous releases coming out right now. For those who don't know, DMV is the term for the DC/ Maryland/ Virginia area.
The biggest name out of the DMV is Wale, who just dropped Attention Deficit:

Another heavy hitter right now is X.O., who you may know from Diamond District. Pick up Monumental:

Next, pick up the new album by Phil Ade:

I got links for all of these if you guys can't find them.
Couple more to check out....

it's really a pop/hip-hop hybrid. kinda in the vein of kanye, cudi, etc style, but without the singing. lots of cool fts.
Oh, I've been ignoring this thread because I didn't know the term DMV. Digging the new Wale album, I still need to check out the others though.
I have the Diamond District album and something old from X.O, but I'll check out Monumental too.
Let me know if you guys need links.

dont forget clipse!
So disappointed by the new Clipse stuff I've heard, really hope the new album is not a complete let down.
Trust me I love Clipse, but they aren't really considered DMV because they aren't in the DC metro area.
Can't belive I forgot Nando

don't really dig on oddisee at all. i think he's really overrated in the underground... very basic beats.
Yeah he's good but not one of my favorites. Have you heard Damu the Fudgemunk?

It's going to be sick as hell. Phil Ade opened for Wale at 930 Club and damn near stole the show.
