YouTube is banned here, so I'm not sure what that is. However, you can't go wrong with Charles Mingus.

Miles Dvis is good, also there are Louis Armstrong- west end blues, Miles Dvis- So what, Bill Evans- Waltz for Debby.

These are good numbers.

Thanks!!:)

Miles Dvis- So what

Ah yes. Being a bassist, I always recommend playing So What for gigs. It doesn't matter if I'm playing in a funk/soul group, dance group, punk/alternative group or jazz group. It's all about So What. ;)

These following recordings are mandatory I think to better understand and appreciate this music and inform one's intellect and ear, especially if you're a musician.

Miles Davis Skeches of Spain, also any of his work with Gil Evans
Miles Davis Bitches Brew, In a Silent way, Kind of Blue, Amandla, Aura

Anything by Charlie Parker, but especially The Complete Savoy Studio Session

Fast forward.....

Keith Jarrett The Koln Concert
McCoy Tyner Fly with The Wind
Weather Report Heavy Weather
Any Jaco Pastorius, Any Josef Zawinul-Zawinul Syndicate, Any Wayne Shorter, Any Peter Erskine
Any Billy Cobham
Any Chick Corea
Any George Duke
Any Charles Mingus
Any Joni Mitchell, but especially her recent work and her album "Mingus"
Any YellowJackets (the group) and any Bob Mintzer Big Band

it'd probably be easier to take you seriously if you didn't express yourself like an idiot child.
