It's the setting wherein death takes place. A hospital is actively trying to ensure the person's survival and if stated through a living will/advanced health directive that no mechanical life support is wanted, then the body is left to its own devices.

What I'm saying is that suicide is illegal currently in Australia, however this is not classed as suicide? And if this isn't classed as suicide, where is the line drawn... for example, is deliberately bungee jumping with a bungee rope classified as non-suicide? :-S
