Why? Because he and the majority of the bands on the 10 for $10 tour stood up for the kids yesterday. Yesterday during the first band, Fingers Crossed, a cover was played (Life is Pain by Merauder) and everyone began to go all out, including members of the bands. The bouncers who are notorious at this particular club, The Valarium and and its predecessor Blue Cats, for being overly aggressive towards patrons started punching kids in the head for moshing. Band members and patrons, myself included, the proceeded to try to stop these fights from occurring, for doing this the police are called. I was in the middle of stopping a bouncer from punching a kid, a minor I might add, repeatedly in the face, he was on the floor already, in opposition to the bouncer I push open-handed in his face. He looked at me like I killed his kid and yells "this one just punched me!" and the next thing I know I'm being placed in a full-nelson and being commanded to "Go limp NOW." After realizing the situation I immediately listen and begin to repeat "I am not resisting," this is when the bouncer who I "punched" gets a sucker punch in on me in the face. The cop does nothing. I am arrested and placed in a police cruiser with the windows up in July in TENNESSEE. Scott Vogel personally spoke to an officer on my behalf, explaining to the officer what was happening, he was fed bullshit and told to leave the scene. Several other people in attendance were then arrested for charges ranging from Disorderly Conduct to Assault to Inciting a Riot. All of these charges are bullshit, and there are scores of witnesses to attest to this, yet myself and 7-8 others were all arrested and detained. I was arrested about 10 minutes before 4 pm, and my handcuffs were not removed for the next 3.5 hours. I was then held in custody until 2:30 am this morning, a delay because supposedly my bail was revoked for violation of probation. My parents who were bonding me out were absolutely stunned, since I have never been arrested before, hell I've only been pulled over once in over 3 years of driving. It was only after repeated arguing from my parents that their error was discovered and I was released.

Meanwhile a number of the bands on the tour including Terror, Trapped Under Ice, Death Before Dishonor, This Is Hell, and The Ghost Inside continued on to play a show in my friend Kay's basement to a large number of the attendees for free.

Currently legal action is being taken to move forward against the Valarium and the Knoxville Police Department for various actions including wrongful arrest, battery, assault, and wrongful denied payment among others. If any of you play in or are friends with bands that are touring, please please please do not play the Valarium.
