Hi guys,

Im new to this site and there seems to be a lot of metal/prog love around here, plus my odd opinions on some albums arent being flamed!

Definitely getting some good recommendations already. Any 'classic' prog metal albums that I should be getting? Am mainly into Dream Theater/Opeth/Porcupine Tree if thats anything to go by.

I think I like it here. :)

lol LF you're obviously not new, but I'll play along...

Maybe check out Therion? They pioneered the use of epic choirs in metal and brought back classical elements (in a way not quite as masturbatory as Yngwie). Check out Vovin, Theli, Secret of the Runes, Lemuria/Sirius B or the newest release, Gothic Kabbalah, for some cool tunes.
