six organs of admittance (10 albums since 98, alongside 2 albums with comets on fire)
ani difranco (17 albums since 90)
frank zappa (57 lps in his lifetime under his names, from '66 to '93)
madlib someone postulate his total output written under all monikers i don't feel like it
the beatles (13 in 8 years)
could throw opeth in there as well at least up to ghost reveries
also bands used to cut 40 minute lps with a relatively short period in between them. (doors, yes, led zeppelin) i wonder why that was the norm though i'm guessing it became more infrequent to operate that way because of the pressures it put on touring and etc

And let's not forget dear old Ryan Adams, whom when combined with his 1st band Whiskeytown and his more recent projects has something like 13 full length albums and a boat-load of bonus tracks, specials, and box sets since 1997!

Merzbow's got the craziest discog ever. And this is only studio albums, not including eps, collabs, box sets ect...
fact but he also sucks and makes primarily noise. i could theoretically make his entire discography with my copy of reason 4, a tape recorder and some meth to stay up for a few months.
