i am sure that thy opinions hath been ex-pressed else-where,

but let us here discuss the new infinite release, bearing the art of John Fahey.

i really like it. my first exposure was Anti-Orgasm, and i remember when they started to do the back and forth low chanting i was like oh god this is lame please don't do this.... but the jam for the last like 2 mins was so good, reminded me of why i liked Pacific Coast Highway immediately from Sister so much when i first listened to that album. it should be noted that i am only familiar with Daydream Nation, Goo, Sister and EVOL.

i pretty much like them all about equally for their own styles and the Eternal fits right in with the rest for me as another unique and solid installment. obviously i was hoping for and i'm really ****ing glad that i find the album to be amazing! i am not as thrilled to see the vinyl going for $44 at my local record store.

in general the production is awesome, fuzzy and downtuned thick guitar-driven, always with layers of noisy sonic youth-ness happening all over the higher frequencies, lower in the mix where it's ****ing tasteful. the result is fantastic. some parts actually remind me of Young Widows, What We Know mostly. that being my favorite song on the album right now, for sure. Antenna, Walkin Blue, and No Way i find myself wantin to sing like some **** as well. i don't think any of the points are particularly weak, although the chanting in Anti-Orgasm still isn't particularly elating.

one of my favorite parts of its style is the ability to expand, change and extend songs with noise jams without ever wasting any time. take the token epic closer, Massage the History. its transitions are smooth, and the next part always begins before any dragging or delay filler-jam.
