Hey all. Im in need of some heavier music right now. I want something loud and big and rough. It doesnt need to be metal, I prefer actual singing, but some metal could be good. Anyway I want to listen to some new heavy rock, metal, good stuff. Anyone have some ideas, bands, for me? Thanks

Loud and big, check Nadja.
It's not really metal.
It's drone and it's awesome.
You're better of checking the stickied thread at the top of R&M though, more people will respond there, since it's strictly about recommendations.

It's cool.
Welcome to the boards.
Stickies are thread that always 'stick' to the top of the central page, so that they won't go down the page and thus will always be visible.
It's mostly used for threads that are imprtant, but not used all the time, for example the rules thread, recommendations, or competitions.
Here's the link to the recommendation thread:
http://www.sputnikmusic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=571083
And here are the rules:
It also contains some tips on how to post well and it has a load of links to other threads in the past, which are still worth checking out:

Hahaha. No, he should listen to the genre sludge, it fits what he is asking to hear much better than that terrible band. Eyehategod, Buzzov*en, Cavity and Grief for starters.

I would consider HoF stoner doom rather than sludge because they don't really have much of a hardcore influence.

None at all from what I can hear.

Yeah maybe on a few songs. That's not a bad thing at all though, HoF is one of my favorite bands. This reminds me, I really really want news on Black Cobra's upcoming album. They are one of my favorite newer sludge bands that stick to the hardcore side.

Yeah Come M Fanatics is at least good as dope throne IMO. Return Trip is one of the heaviest songs ever. Which brings me to mention Burning Witch, another heavy as **** stoner doom band.
