Regarding Futurama: you're a complete moron if you think "intelligent" humour can only be about "serious stuff" or "clever wordplay" and such.

Futurama is some of the best TV I've seen and I can't wait for more episodes.

The movies seemed kinda dumbed down, the jokes didn't follow an appropriate pace given the full feature length, and were of poorer quality. Many of them at least.

The show itself, however, ended spectacularly and hopefully the new episodes will continue from that point.

Hoping for more Hedonism Bot in the new episodes!

Some episodes of Futurama were good, the dog one, the one where fry and bender joined the army to get the gum discount, and the one where fry drinks a bunch of coffee and can move faster than everyone else. The simpsons however seasons 2-8 had uncountable good episodes.
