You probably saw this thread coming. Did anyone get/download High End of The Low? I love it. It's much better than Eat Me, Drink Me. There's alot of diversity on the record too. It's not all monotous and slow like Eat Me (besides "Are You The Rabbit", which is probably the heaviest song off of Eat Me). So what's everyone's thoughts on the new record? I think there's atleast a couple Manson fans here.

It is pretty good, and certainly tops Eat Me Drink Me. 4 Rusted Horses is certainly my favourite song on the new album. It still doesn't compare to Mechanical Animals or Holy Wood though.

Yea, Holy Wood, Mechanical Animals(well most of Mechanical Animals), and Portrait of An American Family I'd say are all better. Holy Wood being the best in my opinion. On the new one my favorites are Pretty As A ($), Into The Fire, and Running To The Edge Of The World. Something I don't get is why at the end of track #1 (Devour), it just sorta cuts off at the end. He's still singing and the song just changes. Wonder what thats all about.

I have Antichrist Superstar and I specifically remember there being three or four decent to good level songs.
I also remember noticing at some point that every song on the album that I could tolerate was co-written by Trent Reznor.

I've always been unimpressed by his music, but interested by him as a person. He's a dick, but he's a smart one.

This Armagoddamnmother****inggeddon song is the gayest thing I've heard in a while
It's like Circus-era Britney Spears without all the vocal effects or even the catchy hooks.

the new manson was terrible, maybe it was better than Eat me, Drink me, but not by much. Either way it was still emo music. Manson used to be cool back in the day but needs to give it up.... Golden Age of Grotesque was his last good one

I like how MM fans love to point out how intelligent and deep and well-spoken he is, yet if you ask them "if he's so smart why does he need such a ridiculous image to sell his music" they're totally dumbfounded
Either way it was still emo music.
lol wut
Tim Burton is lame as ****
Batman, Batman Returns and Sleepy Hollow were elite.

So which one of those is his original concept? The mans creative ability consists of two hyphenated words: playfully-morbid. Find a creepy story that someone else wrote, add some childishness, and sprinkle on Johhny Depp just to make us cream our pants before we realize how crappy this movie looks.
And Marylin Manson DOES need his image to sell his music. Like the ICP of watever the hell scene owns him.

None were his original concept, but they were still good movies. And only one of them had Johnny Depp. Plus Sleepy Hollow had a headless Christopher Walken cutting people's heads off and shiz.
