Most anticipated games of '09

I can't remember if we had one of these before, but given all the new info that came out of E3 I think we should have another.

List which games you're looking forward to most that are coming out this year, along with why.

For me it's:
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. Because if they can achieve what they're promising it will be an amazing game.

Splinter Cell: Conviction. I played a couple of the others and never got that into them, but something about this one just makes it seem really good.

Red Steel 2. Also looks incredibly cool as long as they fix the controls from the first one.

Modern Warfare 2, Bioshock 2, Ghostbusters, Batman Arkham Asylum. Those are all I can think of right now, but I'm sure there are a lot more. Batman and Ghostbusters purely for fun/nostalgia value.

It does indeed come out this year. It's pencilled in for a late October release. The first is great so I'm definitely looking forward to the follow up.

There's no loading between rooms, it all loads continously.
At the start you fill in a psych evaluation, and coupled with your in game actions it changes the town and characters in it based on what you say and do.
You can't fight the monsters, you can only run and hide.
Oh yeah, and theres no doors with broken locks you can't open.

splinter cell and modern warfare two are the only games that stuck with me after the microsoft conference. if nhl10 is able to fix the disgusting and ridiculous glitch goals/computer ai of nhl 09 then i would be excited about that too

Arkham Asylum is pretty top notch from the demo I played, which only displayed a bit of the combat.

But I'm interested to see how the detective mode works.

First time I played Mass Effect I was nice as well, playing as a Vanguard. The second time I played I was a badass female Solider who was mean to everyone. Third time I think I was somewhere in between, but I don't remember what class I was. I think it was the one with the sniping.

Soldier was probably my least favorite class to play as. Vanguard was fun as hell. I love using the biotic powers and blasting someone with the shotgun in mid-air.

Ghostbusters is going to be awesome.

I didn't even get the sniper achievement, only played through once. It's alright though I think I left my mark as one of the biggest, most arrogant bastards in Mass Effect history, which is all that matters IMO. The conversations last longer if you're nice too.

I accidentally killed Wrex the first time I played, well the chick did. Garrus was my favorite out of the allies. I rarely used Liara cause she was annoying.

No dude nothing cool happens. I don't know though it might be a necessary mission if you want to get that "Complete the majority of the game" achievement? Hope they bring Joker back, unless he died. Honestly can't remember much about the storyline.

Lots of people are still alive. Joker being one of them and I think your old squad as well (except those you killed/let die). But your new squad will be all new people - and apparantly much rougher types than the old. Joker will still be your pilot.

Also, the interrupt function has been included in the dialogue system and it looks sweet!
