indie bands that should be bigger but aren't

I saw them at the 2009 OC Music awards, and they were incredible. I think they should be soo much bigger but what bands do you guys think should be bigger?

Greenday is pretty indie and no one really knows about them these days. And any band with a terribly self-conscious name that generally sounds like a chore to repeat sure is due for some recognition.

im sorry but for the last 8 years theyve been known as "britains best kept secret"

its too often the case nowadays that shitty mainstream chord strumming like the kooks get all the glory.

AND, go along the years of mercury prize winning bands. apart from Anthony and the Johnsons, I'd dsay that nearly all of the albums that one went to atleast number 3 or 4 in the charts for a sustained period. The Seldom Seen Kid went to number 7 for one week and then drifted away again.

Forgive Durden, though I'm not sure quite how indie they are. It boggles the mind to consider how few people know of such a talented band. It's not like they're ridiculous an inaccessible either. They're pretty poppy.

Passion Pit too, though they are just getting started. I'll bet that band gets bigger in the coming years.
