I thought it was a good show. No boring figures and stuff. Alan Wake looks alright, but not as impressive as I hoped. Splinter Cell looks amazing, which is surprising. I havn't even played Left 4 Dead 1 yet, but might get 2. Not bothered by Crackdown 2 or any Halo product. Or MGS. The shitly named Natal looks pretty good though. If they can deliver what they say I will be impressed. Also that kid creeped me out.

Yeah, I think I can safely say PS3 won E3.

I think it's the perfect underdog story. PS3 was the scrawny nerdy kid at school, always getting bullied by the tough jock called Xbox and the popular high school babe Miss Wii. He tried to do what they did and while he had a few friends because he did homework for free instead of demand lunch money, nobody really cared.

E3 2009 came and finally, PS3 proved that after graduating from high school, he was a true player, learning from the mistakes he had made in the past. Though PS3 may never be as popular or cool as Xbox and Miss Wii, he'd rather die on his feet then live on his knees.

It's about time I get myself a PS3, it won E3.

All I can say is I'm so happy with current generation consoles. Period. Gaming has increased tenfold since last generation consoles. They're pumping out quality games for almost every demographic. Seriously, I can't remember a time in gaming when I'm not sure I'm even going to have enough money to buy all the games and have enough time to play them all to the extent that I want to.

Some people might say that's flooding the game market, but after E3 this year I'm stoked on what all consoles have to offer. Project Natal looks pretty badass if it runs as efficiently as the videos are making it out.

It has a built in wifi adapter, that you have to pay 100$ to get for the xbox. It also has built in blu-ray and the online gaming is free.

i just mean most people who regard the cost as prohibitive do so because they're disinclined to embrace a new format that they might see as proprietary and relatively unsupported and so the tech to handle this merchandise isn't as highly valued

it's hard to explain, if you played Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit you'll have an idea of what to expect.

it's sort of like a "playable movie" the idea is that you are experiencing a story and playing through it, every scene in it has multiple outcomes each shaping the way it ends, there are multiple characters you play as that can meet depending on the way the story turns or can end up never seeing each other, if you die as one of them the game doesn't end, the story continues on without that character.

PS3 really has lacked killer apps thus far. LBP was dissapointing, Killzone 2 didnt really make much of an impression etc. The problem i have with it is that when it comes to games, PC dominates the FPS and RTS genres. Say what you like, claiming that consoles can do either of those better is just wrong. Theres loads of areas where consoles shine, but the PS3 hasnt really capitalised on it yet. Im really looking forward to Braid on PSN (already in XBL mind) Trine and GOW3

As for its price - the new ps3's come with built in wireless, blu-ray, and a rechargable wireless controller, and its still cheaper than most standalone blu-rays.

EDIT: hadnt heard about heavy rain before - looks great, really enjoyed Farenheit, although its replayability was nil. Great idea to make the QT a bit more immersive and not an instant YOU ARE DEAD if you fail one action

Buzz (fun with other people)
Lost (It was dirt cheap and I like the TV show)
Little Big Planet (I seriously dislike this game and regret buying into the hype)
and inFamous (actually really good)

Nothing else out now or soon appeals to me. Heavy Rain looks good but thats still a way away.
