I need a new show to follow, something I can download or get on DVD and just watch and catch up on. I just rewatched both Freaks and Geeks and Arrested Development, Dollhouse is finished and basically I just need a new show I can geek out on. Some of my favourite shows: Star Trek (TOS), Battlestar Galactica, Freaks and Geeks, Arrested Development, Six Feet Under, Firefly, Dexter, Party Down, The Office. I used to love Weeds, but gave up on it, so don't recommend that to me please. Same for Heroes.

I was thinking of starting Fringe, but I heard it was pretty terrible. I've never seen Lost; always feel like I should change that. I'm also semi-curious in Better of Ted, but I'm not sure why.

I'm typically more into shows with a continuous timeline but I'll take anything as long as it isn't sketch-comedy.

We have very similar tastes so I'd recommend Californication and Eureka.

Other than that, if you're willing you should check out some anime. Just watch Berserk with subs, pretty much awesome.

I'll throw out It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, even though I'm sure you've seen it.

If you like HBO drama like Six Feet Under (great show by the way) I'd recommend Oz and The Sopranos, and if you like NBC comedy The Office check out My Name Is Earl, which is probably my favorite current show on NBC. All have continuous timelines.

Oz is okay, maybe I just need to watch more of it. Sopranos is good of course I forgot about that.

I was curious about these, actually.

Might look into the Wire, too.

deadwood
the wire
rescue me
flight of the conchords
in treatment (might not be your cup of tea at all)
mad men (season 2 was painfully average television though)
summer heights high
rome
curb your enthusiasm
californication (i havent finished season 2 yet, but the first two eps took a slight dive in quality)
extras
big love (its not really up to par with the rest of these shows, but the wives are insanely entertaining, always)

mostly deadwood and the wire though

United States of Tara - i enjoyed the first season, wasnt amazing but i liked the character development of Tara.

Carnivale - one of the best shows that unfortunately was canceled

Pushing Daisies - same as above

Psych - youve probably seen this, but a really funny crime series

what did you think of Dollhouse? i loved it
