With all the money I just dropped, I felt my drums deserved their own thread. So here's two new pics. New ride, hats, and a snare stand to hold the rack tom.

Does it actually impact your sound THAT much?
And what's so great about it being resonant? People just put tape and/or g2s on their toms most of the time anyways.

Chip - No. I haven't noticed even the slightest difference. I don't see why people make such a big deal of it.

Ant - I love the crash sound on this thing. I was originally looking at a 20" A crash ride but it was just a slight bit too washy. This one has a fair amount of wash, but performs much better as a ride than the crash ride. Crashes are pretty equal in my mind. Hence, I chose the Armand.

some drums are sensitive to it... thin shells, thin hoops, thin heads will be more affected. If you tighten the basket you might notice it get a little deader, too.
