I recently watched Vanilla Sky, Cameron Crowe's American remake of the Spanish film Open Your Eyes, and even though I'm just starting to understand it, I can't get the end scene out of my head. One of my favorite songs, and the montage is beautiful.

The end scene of the Departed, because I figured the rat got what was coming to him.

Not the direct end scene per se, but the death scene of Bill (David Carradine) in Kill Bill Vol. 2 is one of my favorites, because Vol. 1 & 2 is my favorite work by Quentin Tarantino, and I love all the references to the various kung-fu and spaghetti western films, and how badass Uma Thurman is, and the way Bill just accepts his fate like a man, and the Ennio Morricone score at the end.

Go.

And preferably post youtube links if you can.

Schindler's List, because it's so ambiguous. Or maybe anticlimatic is a better word.

i actually kinda liked the ending of no country for old men, it was a bit of a "wtf it's over?" ending, but they did that style very well. I love the ending of The Time Machine (newer one came out round 2002) Its good because its a sort of melancholy ending, the main guy stays in the future to start a new life, and at the very end you see his friend from back in the day, throwing his boulder hat into the air and trying to take his advice and not be such a boring conformist, and the guy's house keeper closes the door to his empty invention room and says godspeed,
Its basically from 4 minutes into this clip : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzruYblAQ5Y
The quality on the video is a little crappy, way better on dvd.. but das it!
