K so had to make a thread since I just finished watching all his films, I know there are a few fans here but for those who don't know this old guy is a genius stop motion animator best known for films such as Alice and Faust. His films are rather surreal and nightmarish, often dealing with childhood innocence and it being torn away, political allegory regarding his home country etc.

A favorite director of mine judging by what I have seen from him. Have to check out his other stuff but nothing I've seen by him has been short of excellent.

mmm a few of his shorts aren't that great, but his feature lengths are all of a pretty high standard IMO

i'm pretty sure it's The Death of Stalinism in Bohemia but a lot of his shorts had similar themes happening in them so I could be wrong.
