Training Day

A couple months back I watched about the last half of this on TV one night, after hearing a lot about it, so when I saw it at the mall for six dollars, I picked it up so I could watch it all the way through.

For those who haven't seen it/heard of it, it's this movie that came out in 2001 about this rookie cop Jake (Ethan Hawke) who for his first day on the job goes on an assignment with this detective Alonzo (Denzel Washington) who turns out to be a crooked cop, and how Jake basically has to use his wits to stay alive.

Denzel plays one of the most badass bad guys ever, and he deserved the oscar he won for it.

Great movie. Denzel's Oscar was a little bit "we ****ed up the last 4 times, but you can have one now", but he was still awesome in it.

I hated that movie, he didn't deserve anything for it. The story was empty and predictable. and his character was that unbelievable I couldn't take it seriously. it started off ok and then just turned into a crock.
