what turntable should i get

To be honest, it's hard to know what to recommend if all you're doing is listening. You could probably just get any old crap if you're got a good sound system to hook it up to. As long as you can test it before you lay down cash, buying second hand is a good idea too - there's so many about that they go for nothing.

I own a Vestax Handytrax and although it looks slightly cheap, its a really solid portable player. Buy some nice speakers and you are set. If you have money to burn buy a Technics, they last forever.

Numark or Technics Numark has a really cheap model i forget what its called but its nice.
