Been awhile since I posted here, just wrote this quick little song about a breakup that happened several months ago (I wrote some music yesterday and needed some quick lyrics, figured I could write about that).
Splitting our distance like splitting the atom
Oh you'd think our hearts would grow
If not for tipping the scales
in the games of honesty
I saw her felt her loved her
But I was caught in the bitch's paradox
Opening a heart is not a joy for one
But she gave her reasons for falsified tales
She told me that she wanted to be alone
So I turn away, and what does she say?
"Here's a man who can dance with me
Ah-oh! Fits me in a general gender role
I'm a feminist, but he's older and richer
**** our ideals ohhhhhhh"
(solos)
She saw him felt him loved him
And I was caught in the bitch's paradox
I am me have always been me
With or without her, you can't change that
But changing her it only takes
A swinging dance and a cowboy hat
Ha! If there is hell the jokes' on her
It's her rules, her paradox
(solo)
