so let's talk about the last couple weeks and how it's been amazing for hip hop

UGK - UGK 4 Life
Flo Rida - R.O.O.T.S.
Slim Thug - Boss Of All Bosses
CunninLynguists - Strange Journey Volume One

discuss your impressions, the highlights, lowlights, and everything in between for these albums

and yes, i realize other releases have come out in this period such as stoupe, but they're for backpackers

so far, I have been really digging:
Flo Rida - Finally Here
Flo Rida - R.O.O.T.S
Flo Rida - Right Round
Slim Thug - I Run
Slim Thug - Boss Of All Bosses
CunninLynguists - Don't Leave (When Winter Comes)
CunninLynguists - Never Come Down
CunninLynguists - The Distance

sadly, i haven't really found a song i'm really digging off of the UGK jobby; of course, it always takes me a couple weeks before i can really appreciate as much great stuff on an album as possible so i'm still hopeful

and Flo Rida's new album doesn't seem to be as strong as his debut even though the guest list is still as strong as ever....disappointment.

the new slim thug is awful lol.

of the albums you listed, UGK is pretty awesome and the Cunninlynguists compilation is okay.

all of the elitist attitude is unnecessary Amit. we all like hiphop from every subgenre, and most of us loved the new UGK. i took the liberty of editing that stuff out, instead of locking down the thread. just don't do that please.

i don't know whether i would dig a while album of slim thug. i just like him on hooks.

i haven't really liked the new ugk so far, but i've not really listened to it much.

'Finally Here' is such a ridiculously good song- great album too.

Title track is good too but Finally Here is probably his best non-dance song yet. I also like the Nelly Furtado song and the Ne-Yo one.
