No one posts in Other Music so I'm putting this here. Inspired by my recent foray into italo-disco. Basically artists that release a couple of singles and maybe an album or two and then completely disappear. This applies mostly to soul/funk/disco acts in the 70's-early 80's but I guess you can count compilation music and the 981278978942 remixers of hip songs mushrooming recently. They need some love here too.

Post the youtube if you can, it probably exists

Jimmy Ross - First True Love Affair (Larry Levan Mix)

A really neat disco/funk track.

Pineapples - Come on Closer feat. Douglas Roop
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hg2qZLB5_Y

Probably the song that got me into OG italo territory.

Holy Ghost! - Hold On

Kind of recent, I just dig the song. Reminds me of !!! somewhat.

Bring on the good stuff!

If you look at stuff in the charts over here then there are probably hundreds. DNA's remix of "Tom's Diner" and JXL's remix of "A Little Less Conversation" spring to mind. DJ Oizo with that Flat Eric track too.

I'm very aware of that, I just don't feel like wading through a couple dozen charts and blogs for hours to find like 5 songs I would actually dig (I wasn't sure if that was aimed at me). Where's Robert Crumb when you need him?
