rjd2 is wack 2 me
dj krush - strictly turntablized. tone of the actual music is stripped and bare hip-hop. a precursor to the trip-hop movement. kind of hard knuckle as well. could be seen as a breaks album

Hey noonward, if you're digging Dr. Who Dat? and Jneiro Jarel, make sure you check out The Shape of Broad Minds. By the same guy (Jneiro) but I think it's his most accomplished album. I'm thinking of reviewing it for sputnik when there's a lag in new releases I want to release. It's becoming one of my favorite hip hop albums of all time actually.

jarel is a bit too weird for me... cool concepts, but almost makes no sense.
i really dug flylo's 1983 and dabrye 2/3 in the car today... i was freestylin (poorly) to 1983 for like an hour.

he really needs to team up with a solid mc... i'd love to see an oh no + blu joint
been really digging Tobacco - F*cked Up Friends lately (from 2008)... really awesome instrumental hip-hop/ trip-hop for the most part. Aesop is featured on one track, and it's probably one of the best things he's ever done.
