About four years old. When I first got it i hacked it to put in my own ringtones / wallpaper, games, etc...but i never use any of them. I'm not a big cell phone whore, but the new ones do seem interesting. Which is why i got this one at the time. I just never used it as anything more then a phone. Surprisingly enough :p

I was just happy it had a VGA camera. Which i never used :/

Anyway I've been without a contract for a couple years but i'm about to commit again because i want new phone. I just don't know what to get. Anyone have a Blackberry? What do you think about it? Do you guys have G3 hooked up? How does it work?

Man i just want something that rings tbh. But if i'm gonna get something may as well be pimp :cool:

I've had none of those issues with mine, the only thing I can think of thats a bit annoying is when I plug it in to be charged it takes awhile to realise that its been plugged in.

I'll bear what you've said in mind though and try to avoid dropping it etc..

i have the same phone, but with att.

i like how it's touchscreen and has a full keyboard. there's three things i don't like about it the alarm clock, you need a headphone adapter, and how you can't just use the mp3s in your library as ringtones (doesn't really bother me that much, cause i use the regular phone ring, but it would've been nice.)

There's no AT&T cell service around here. There's Sprint, but it's only reliable in the eastern part of the state, and US Cellular which is equally crappy here.

Now I can upgrade my phone as per the 2 year upgrade. I was messing around with the Blackberry Storm but the ones in the Verizon store were really sluggish, and there isn't much you can do with it other than spend more money. I would really like an iPhone, but my girlfriend lives in Boston and she is on Verizon too. So I have to stick with Verizon until either she switches to AT&T, or the iPhone moves to Verizon when it's contract is up.

So....Sshould I go with a Samsung Omnia? Or doesn anyone else have any other suggestions?

I have a razr 2 and it sucks. I've gone through three of them, and the current one came with dirt in the screen.

My old phone was the original razr, and I loved it. Lasted two years, and died an unnecessary death.

It is, but it certainly has its flaws. As of right now, it can't send MMS (picture text messages), nor can it take videos and it's missing a flash from the camera. The battery life is pretty crap, too. I probably charge mine atleast once a day - but then again I use it very frequently.

For business? Not at all. Anytime someone comes into my store and suggests using it as a business device I have to laugh. I mean, as a phone it is good. It has all the features one would need, but it's mainly a personal entertainment device.

TBQH I love mine. It's great for the bus, and some of the applications are actually pretty stellar. Then again, in Canada it's about as good as it gets. We don't have the Google Android system out here yet.

yeah, and there are plenty of apis avaiable to write applications on them but apple not licensing what it very obviously a class piece of hardware, a good operating system and a cool gui, i just think it is eventually going to go against tham as open source will innovate so much better...........or will it?

if I had a choice in my mp3 player, I would have gotten a zen...but my roommate gave me his 40gig video ipod and tbh all I use it for is listening to rammstein at the gym, so v:)v it all works out

I'm not, I honestly don't get why people need such distractions on their phones.

Because some people are incredibly busy or can't get to a computer when something urgent comes up (email from work or something), so it's nice to have access to certain things on your phone. Most people who have these features don't need them, sure, but they're nice / fun to have.

I was fuggin with one of those LG Rumours with the slideout keyboard but i got drunk n lost it n hadda to getta trap chip to keep the phones runnin so now im ****in with some "preloved" piece of **** but only cost me $30! (im on pay as you go so thats pretty g)

Mine makes calls. Its buttons are ergonometrically (sp???) designed. None of this sunken in, flat-button crap.

i got a tracfone as a "back up" phone. its a prepaid thing, $15. i like it

cell service is so cheap, now. $50 unlimited. thats what i have on my other phone

makes me happy :)
