I am trying to get an Yngwie CD for my friend's birthday. Which album has no lyrics? The less lyrics the better. Please let me know.

I forget the name but I think it's his first one (might just be self titled?) the first song is Black Star it's the only album of his I ever enjoyed and it has some sweet E harmonic minor on it
edit: It's called Rising Force

Not quite true.
All Yngwie albums have a certain ratio of sweet shred to sappy ballads and "singing songs". The older albums, especially the first, have a higher ratio of sweet shred to gay
But yeah everything he does is in E harmonic minor and sounds relatively the same
his cover of devil in disguise is ****ing fantastically bad
i think it's on eclipse
edit - that's not a cover? god damn

That was probably when he was fat

when he was fat?
He was thin again when I saw him like 2 years ago he looks like he had mad plastic surgery and went on the Anna Nicole Smith diet though

F'uck Yngwie, if you want wank, at least go with Cacophony - Speed Metal Symphony

No that's stupid wanking
I like Yngwie's wanking sometimes because the harmonic minor scale sounds cool to my ears.
But Cacophony/most/all shred is ghey

Ugh, they all sound like crap to me, at least Cacophony don't take themselves seriously

Malmsteen is amazing. Me and Jaymz were listening to some Malmsteen and we were just blown away. Jaymz started doing some growling to it and I recorded it with the Pro Tools. We might release it soon.

Correct sir.
Rising Force and Trilogy are the ones to go for.

there's an album he has called Concerto Suite Live with Japan Philharmonic. it's really sick and it's instrumental so there are no lyrics. it's one of my favorites by him. another is called Concerto Suite for Electric Guitar and Orchestra in E Flat Minor Op. 1. I don't have the whole thing but what i do have is pretty good

I think my dad has that one and really liked it despite not really liking Yngwie or orchestras

it has some really sweet arrangements and even tho all the shred does get a bit repetitive, he has some really good moments

yay mindless shredding! i love how guys like him are always solo artists who hire a band because they are so self centered they can't be part of a band like a normal person...

Actually he hires a band because he's a complete douche and nobody would be around him for more than an hour without getting paid for it.
I gathered this just from seeing him once

that makes sense, kinda the same thing as what i said. He can't act like a normal guy so people won't be around him unless theres money involved!

Or how about they write and record all the parts themselves, so they only need people to reproduce them live?
