screamo/post metal i guess, band is ****ing epic
vocals are kinda like old as cities burn, music's kinda like a more metallic score one for safety.

That was pretty boring mappy
I guess should have expected when you said screamo/post-metal that it'd just be screamo with 1 riff per every 5 minutes

Eh, not quite what I meant.
They're not BAD. But if wanted to hear this I could listen to any of the other 3,0000000072 post-metal bands.
And why is post-metal just slow not as heavy metal. Is that what "post" refers to? Slowness?

dude, this band is ****ing tight as hell
seriously, listen to the full album before you criticize them as being an isis rip-off, because that's not the case at all
album has a few traditional doomy black sabbath riffs too, which is pretty sweet

Well I think the root of post-rock is alternative rock. And post metal mixes the post-rock elements with heavy metal. So I think yea most post metal songs are slow/down tempo. But not all post-metal songs are "slow".

you can argue that slint was derivative of grunge/punk music and thus post rock is rooted by grunge

Yea, maybe there are even more genres you can consider as a root. I do listen to a post-rock bands but i'm sure there are many others. That was just a little explanation that I could think of.
