It's amazing how much more sarcastic your posts have gotten over the past year or so.

I love it.

And I wish I'd come from a piano background like you. I think I'd approach bass with more of a tapping style like you. Instead I'm never really good or inspired to get good with tapping.

Serious tips:

1. Try using all four fingers on both hands or at least the first 3 on your right hand to start off.

2. Try playing arpeggio shapes tapped

3. Try playing normal basslines but tap instead of pluck or whatever (this doesn't work well with overly root-notey songs)

4. As you progress, start trying to use wider intervals and work in more interesting rhythms/polyrhythms between the two hands

5. Practice!

I noticed you're using what looks like a BTB in your other videos. Is that new and did you ditch the Conklin?

I missed the Genghis Tron/Behold the Arctopus show in my city about two months ago, and I'm gutted.

I like BTA recorded, but apparently they sucked.

BTA = Behold the Arctopus... The band I mentioned in my post, and the one in the picture above. Thought the abbreviation would be more obvious. Oh well.

I knew what you meant, but I like to give fellow ERBers a hard time. Maybe it's an English thing, because Becoming the Archetype is BTA here in Arizona.

I've never even heard of Becoming the Archetype, haha. BTA always means Arctopus in my circles.

But then, most people I know haven't heard of Arctopus either.

That's precisely what I meant.

The band name takes them +1 higher, but being a Christian metal band takes them back to their +2 status.
