there is a company that makes 6x15 cabs, and i can get it ugly bright green colored too(!!!), can't find prices on there but i'm sure they are expensive. maybe i'll make some myself
http://www.electricamp.com/catalog.html
my plan is to stack a 6x12 on top of a 6x15 horizontally. i guess i'll also need a burley pre/power amp rack set-up to run it. any ideas on tube poweramps that could run such a ridiculous rig? i also need help coming up with names for it. the "green monster" is the most obvious one, but there's better ones out there i'm sure. i think i like "neptune"

because it'll sound awesome?
hmm, i think a red one named mars would be better than a green one called neptune

Tube power for that? Go class d crown or qsc. You need enough wattage to open that beast up!

6x15 = 240lbs.
Enjoy that.

It'll be more than fun! It's the final excuse to get that flatbed he always wanted.

Yuck! No thank you. Not to mention the cab itself, based on the other prices, is probably 2 grand or more.

Only 6x15?
I am getting 6 4-channel power amps and I'm going to run each channel into a 4x15. 24x15 ftw.

Maybe you should just get a white one and call it Death.

or jaws.
i just realized that none of those cabs have tweeters or horns. I'd have to get an 8x10 from another company. still down for the 6x15 though when i win the lottery

That's because tweeters are horrid and ruin everything.

Care to justify this statement?

Every tweeter I've ever used has just worked against my EQ settings, amplified things like string noise and generally been a nightmare.
I don't like 'hi-fi' tones.
Ever used distortion with a tweeter? It sounds like arse. I know not everyone will use distortion, but I do, and that is why they ruin everything. My Roland is a beautiful amp but sounds horrible with overdrive pedals. And I have to keep the tweeter fully off on my Schroeder or it offends my ears.

What generation is your schroeder? The new soft dome tweeters jorg is using are possiby the smoothest sounding tweeters I've ever heard.
That said I'd rather go with a 6" mid driver than a tweeter for bass applications. Useable miss and highs, no excess string noise... All around great idea. Andy over at acme really hit the nail on the head going with a 3-way cab design.

I think my Schroeder is one of the new ones. I bought it about 6 months ago.
Still don't like it.

I would rock a 6" mid driver. Definitely made my ears orgasm a little bit when I played the AG TRI 110L. Filled in the sound nicely for sure.
