If you're actually into that middle eastern metal sound, check out the album Sphynx by a band called Melechesh. It's pretty sweet and uses that sort of sound throughout.

Heart And Habit was decent, but it seemed to be lacking something... it just didn't feel like a complete song. I liked the intro part, then it got all heavy and didn't really progress much. I don't think it's one of your best songs.

cool i'll look into that.

thanks for listening. i'm not really sure if i'd call it a song or just a progress of emotions. because of some recent events that's all i was really trying to present - a sequence of emotions, so to speak. which...i guess one could view as the pretentious way of avoiding using the title "song" but whatever. :p

i dig man. I like aroudn 30 sec when it kicks in with that guitar delay.

overall a chill sound, then it gets extra metal. Thats not my thing but its nicely done.

As with all your stuff the production quality is excellent! I really liked the transition from the first part into the heavier guitar. Also, the chords you used added some nice colors to the music.

As personal preference, I would have liked to see the amazing transition from the first part into the second part happen again for the ending, I guess fade out just wasn't doin it for me. Also, I feel like I also wanted some residual sounds from the first to continue throughout the song so that there was a sense of cohesion, rather than two distinct parts.

Again, those are just my personal preferences after just one time through. You do awesome work man! Let us know if you ever get a CD out. I know i'll deff take a look...

Without speakers, I can't comment on the composition or the tonality, but your technique is f**king flawless.

heart and habit is pretty damn tasty, but thought the ending needed something more.

thanks guys. couldn't agree more, i'll admit i got lazy towards the end. actually had something planned out, with completely different melodies etc. but just got impatient and wanted to finish it so i could go on to something else.

haha sweet but i assure you it'd be more enjoyable with some audio. appreciate you checking it out though even without it. ****in trooper.

I bet it would be. I'll probably check it out sometime this weekend. The whole middle-eastern thing sounds very interesting to me.

I love your stuff. Always very diverse and creative. I admire that as it's an approach I have as well. One minute I'll be coming up with a wicked metal riif and then the nexh I'm slowing it down, adding a phat beat, and rapping about someone's mama. Haha.

Can't wait though. Keep up the good work!

Loved the mix and the groove at the start. Distortion sounded pretty decent but seemed to take away from the rest of the mix when it kicked in. I guess thats myspace for ya. Very nice clean tone and picking :thumb:. It makes for a great little mini song. Feel like it could be a part of something bigger though. Great work guy.
Inquisitous was good too. I like your picking in it a lot more as it is a little less stiff and flows better imo.
Edit: Understand it a little more after reading your post. Just wanted to say awake still kicks @$%&ing ***.

thanks man, much appreciated. and yeah, to this day i still think awake is the best song i've done. lately i've considered going back and replacing some parts with actual guitar.

i thought heart and habit was good didn't dig too much of the intermittent chugging and heaviness/wankery at the end of it that's not my thing but still thought a cool song

haven't listened to all the other songs but i gave by any means necessary a listen and that song totally kicked *** man
