lol, i love it how people who think they have loads of online rep think they can just come in and fix the problem with there one sentence answers

lets face it, the MX bass comunity has become another MSN type explorer for people who know each other e.g spaceman, sade, lowends

all im saying is lets not tell each other how to solve the problem and it never gets done

lets do it...

its not hard for the admins to intergret the system

I'm not trying to fix anything. I'm just pointing out that you're complaining about something that you're not trying to fix. Neither am I, but I don't really care, so why would I bother?

And don't you think that saying "lets [sic] not tell each other how to solve the problem" is slightly contrary to your suggestion of merging the subforum into the main one?

lemoley

how on earth is it contrary?
im suggesting that this forum is combined into one forum not segragating the new people in this forum into one separate community

Actually, I think that's quite sad that logging onto the site used to be the highlight of your day. I mean, I love posting here, and on other message boards and stuff, but the highlight of my day? No chance.

I'm not whining. I don't post a lot because a lot of the people I used to talk to all the time are gone or nearly gone.

Jonly posts once in a while, I haven't seen Brad in years, I haven't seen Justin in a long time.

It's going to take more then mixing two forums together to fix the problem. The problem really has to do with the lack of interest so it seems. Alot of the regulars here will post a "real" thread every so often but most of the community lies in the car thread and community thread. We get everything else- else where..

When the forum was linked to a tab site, this forum was pretty much exclusive to musicians. We had people coming and signing up to the forums who would be using the tabs to learn songs.

We are no longer affiliated with the tab site and, instead, we have a music review/news/etc site. This brings in people who just listen to music and not necessarily play an instrument. Because people sign up and do not play an instrument, they have no reason to come to the bass forum or whatever subforum about an instrument they don't play.

I remember that, in hindsight it wasn't that long ago, few years at most. Remember the first time you were a mod? Or the first casual?

Yeah, but that wasn't the first. The first got put into it, but Heather started the first. There used to be 1000 posts a day in that thing. I remember making it my goal to get 100 posts in the casual in a day, I did. I am old.

There cover of YYZ actaully wasnt that bad, the quality wasnt so great, but they played ok and it is a pretty difficult song.

But yeah... hes drummer is no Neil Peart.
