Identifying pickups?

Aight bass guys, wondering if you could help me on this one...

I've got a fretless 5 string Rockbass Streamer, and it's all awesome aside from the pickups, so I'm looking at changing them. Only problem is, I don't know much about bass pickups and I'm not completely sure what type these are:

They look to be about the same size as the MM style pickups but these have more screws fixing them down...

Also, as I know **** all about bass pickups I was wondering if you guys could give me some advice as to who makes good 'uns.

It's possible that those might just be covers for the pickups underneath. Did you try unscrewing them?

Hmm, that's an idea. Can't really open at the mo because I don't have any scredrivers that are small enough... but cheers, I'll check when I can.
