I feel like everyone agrees on one thing, Joe Buck is the worst announcer ever.

If he had to announce the USA vs. USSR game back in the 80s (the miracle game), it would have been a monotone response '...and America scores to take the lead...'

I actually try to avoid watching Fox games due to the odds he will be announcing. Who shares my pain?

To be honest, I'd rather listen to him than Nantz and Simms. Not only are they both dumb as ****, they have these incredible circle jerks over certain players that is just mind numbing to listen to.

Besides, he's paired with Aikman who generally knows what he's talking about.

Aikman is okay, I'd prefer a combo of Gumble/Chris Collinsworth over anyone

Cris Collinsworth is the most annoying commentator ever. I thought this before Madden '09 but that put it over the edge for me. RIP Dennis Miller's football commentary career. I think Jaws is probably the best. He's a good balance of humorous, enthused, and trotting out ridiculously obscure but interesting football facts. Him working with Kornheiser works well too.

ah yes Dennis Miller and Jaws, both awesome. Kornheiser is obnoxious, sometimes I want to punch him in the face.

I kind of agree here. And I don't mind Verne Lundquist. CBS is by far my preferred football network.

Granted, I pay more attention to baseball announcers than football.

In general, I much prefer watching sports on local channels rather than Fox or ABC/ESPN. The latter ones are so afraid of being biased that they seem to ignore the game that's being played. Granted, not everyone can be as amazing as Skip Caray and Pete Van Wieren, but the local Braves announcers we have now like Mark Lemke, Joe Simpson, Ron Gant, Jon Sciambi, etc (but not Chip Caray) are alright.
