is probably the most overrated book I've read in awhile. I really expected to like it, but it's the epitome of mediocre. I anticipate lots of negative comments coming my way very soon.
I thought it was pretty good not all that amazing or anything

I enjoyed it a whole lot, but it's not the best book I've ever read. It had a couple classic moments, though, like the 12 inches of paradise sign going into that ladies art meeting.

yeah the story about nothing and the main character were priceless and totally precede a lot of comedy deemed fresh when it appears today. that book was charming and fresh, a total gem.

I thought it was pretty funny, but at points it can get tedious.

ignatius reilly is the patron saint for anyone who just doesn't fit into their contexts thats whats so awesome about him imo. he just calls for so much pity, and then ridicule at the same time for being such a douchebag. one of my favorite characters ever.
