i dont have my diabloII expansion disk anymore [Archive]

but i have the game installed. how do i play it without the disk? my brother said to download it and i won't have to use the disk but where can i do that without getting virus'd?

I'm not 100% right now, but i know there is a way. You have to have a CD Image program. Download a torrent for DII expansion, mount the image using the program and use that image in your CD drive. Someone else can get more technical for you.

Lost my discs ages ago and they are still charging 35 bucks for the war pack on amazon. I'll just wait for Diablo III (2010 probably :( )

there should be no CD patches to do that but it is hard to get a good once without a virus these days...

Yeah, latest D2 patch allows you to play without the CD.

I wonder if people are still playing it online... I quit when I was like 60 something and I realized druids blow :D. If Amazon would stop selling it for freaking 35 bucks and cut it to 20 or so I would pick it up.

Yeah I dont understand why the battlechest thing is like 30$ still its a little crazy. I remember when I was playing it online about 2 years ago the population was thinning so I wouldnt think there would be to many people on it today.

wow, you can pick it up for sod all in any games store here...

just download a torrent and either burn it to disc or run it as an ISO. if you still have your CD key it might, just might, actually be legal (i did it with Yuris revenge - they dont sell it anymore but i still have my CD key. If its intellectual property your buying, then i still have the rights to download. maybe)

I remember when I was playing it online about 2 years ago the population was thinning so I wouldnt think there would be to many people on it today.
There's still a fair few, I stopped playing about a year ago and there was enough activity to still get a decent game. I think it'll keep going until D3 is out.

this is frustrating.... is there anyway i can install the new patch without the game already being on? i downloaded the patch i just dont know how to get it on there without the disk because u cant start the game without the disk

the new patch is suppose to let u play without the disk

if you havent done the full install though you need to re-install for the no-cd patch to work (and theres still some other files you need to copy over - sound files i think)

you have your cd key, right?

either download an ISO of the disc, or download the game from the blizzard website

when the patch is installed, you will need to copy some files from the disc onto your hard drive for the NO-CD thing to work. I assume if you download it from blizzard that will all be in order anyway
