His secretaries were hot.

liked the movie. i think most likely this is the way Washington really works. not what Charlie did...that was far too noble. but what he was up against and the powers that be he needed to persuade and manipulate

i love him in most everything. what an actor. i liked julia roberts, too. and the character she played? such influence in politics without really being a politician. she had money, charm, and parties and could influence policy with a phone call

if you like hoffman check out The Savages. great role for him, good story about a brother and sister caring for an aging and ailing father whom never treated them well or cared to take an interest in them. yet they love him and care for him nonetheless. good sibling film. hoffman is outstanding as a somewhat depressed college professor with commitment issues

"My loyalty! For twenty four years people have been trying to kill me! People who know how. Now do you think that’s because my dad was a Greek soda pop maker? Or do you think that's because I'm an American spy? Go **** yourself, you ****ing child! "

I thought it spoke volumes about politicians at the end when they were like "schools. **** that." such a bummer.

I just watched it again today for that very scene.

I also considered joining the CIA for that very reason after I saw that movie.

"I'm not I'm not I'm not even gonna dignify that with a response."

"Yeah yeah, you're dignifying her in the ***, at the Jefferson Motel Room 1210"

I really liked this. PS Hoffman rulez as usual.

It was a really cool film, and as others have already said, Philip Seymour Hoffman was awesome as usual. Such an incredible actor he is. 2007 was a good year for him. He was in Chalie Wilson's War, The Savages, and Before the Devil Knows You're Dead, all good films.

he's my favorite actor, this was a very good movie. The daughter of that guy from Texas complaining about the nativity scene or whatever was so hot

That Hoffman quote makes want to see this now despite my hatred for Julia Roberts, and how uninteresting the movie looks in trailers anyway.
