i live like 20 min

very sad story. usually i have sort of a morbid sense of humor about such things. takes the edge off the sadness of looking at the news sometimes. so many people die everyday, so can't really take it to heart

but this was truly tragic. one person who was killed was 17...others were middle aged, basically. many in their 40's and 50's. but for some reason its the old people i feel the most for. i think one was 80 and another 70, and to think they have come so far in life and have endured all that has come with it only to be taken like this on Christmas Day. that to me is especially tragic. who has the right to take a life like that after so many years of.....life? it really is just sad

and the fact he burned the house to the ground afterward. with racing fuel of all things. perhaps some poetic justice that he chose a substance so volatile he couldn't even escape without getting third degree burns and therefore could not go through with his escape plans. so he kills himself

should have just done that in the first place and saved the family and neighborhood much grief and pain. instead he went out like an idiot. and looking at the remains of the home today on the news. nothing but burnt rubble left where a family gathered to celebrate life and love just a few days ealier. somehow it just pisses me off
