Album is incredible. 8 Full Hours of Sleep is a damn good song. Discuss.

I like the Crime versions better for I Still Love You Julie and Walking Is Still Honest, but Against Me! best release by far.

As the Eternal Cowboy >

But yeah, I think 8 Full Hours of Sleep is the best song they've ever written.

I concur. I don't know what my favourite AM! release is. TDBTB, Crime EP, RAR, ATEC are all so good.

disco before the breakdown is the best theyve ever done

and the song searching for a former clarity gives me chills
reminds me of when one of my best friends died

Still my favorite band after several years.

Crime > Disco > RAR/ATEC > the rest

Well the Acoustic EP is in there somewhere. Right after RAR/ATEC I guess. I don't listen to it much anymore.

"Those Anarcho Punks are Mysterious" is a close second for tightest jam.

Seeing this song live was one of the best things ever.

The clapping breakdown is untouchable.

Seeing this live would be amazing, I've never seen them play it.

My first Against Me! concert when I was 15 remains the best night of my life.

That's the only Against Me song I've heard and actually liked. If only all their songs were like this.

i'd have to agree.

the songwriting is great on axl rose, but the acoustic ep versions are overall better. i still can't get over some of the axl rose production quirks.

idk, i think that disco is my favorite, but i love them all. against me has been my favorite band since i was like 12. i've seen them a bunch of times and met them a few times too. even though new wave wasn't as good as their past releases, i still love it too.

They played it 3 out of the 4 times I've seen them I think.

Walking is Still Honest starts a f'ucking riot as well.

Chinese Democracy didn't do as well and Axl hasn't been doing any advertising besides lawsuits so maybe he does have to reinvent himself and his image.

I think they played it at one out of the three shows I've seen.

I can't even keep straight what songs I've seen them do. I know I saw Disco... which is one of my all time favorites and I think I saw We Laugh at Danger... which is another favorite.

I dunno. I will see them whenever they come here even if their next album is absolute ****. Except when they played at the Target Center. That crossed a line.

Yeah, same. I'll see them in smaller venues no doubt, it's always a good time. But I refuse to see them in any big arena.

They played at a pretty tiny venue last spring but I was in France at the time. I was incredibly pissed. I considered not going to France. My mom made me.

Apparently at that show, they played Tonight We're Giving It 35% which is probably the only song I have yet to see them play that I really really want to see.

used to listen to this record/band non stop, then it gets old and haven't listen to them since. Its a bit like dead kennedys. How about Vivida Vis? I never actually find anyone that like it, national myth is badass.

Got super into this band for about a week. Always preferred As The Eternal Cowboy though. One of the best live performances I've seen for sure though, everyone was going wild.

I like reinventing axle rose better than dico before the breakdown. Both great albums.

I have a habit of pushing the track back button and listening to I still love you Julie 2 or 3 times iin a row.

A dude I know saw them before Axl came out and said the acoustic only version of it was so powerful that he decided to follow them around for a month.

It depends what speakers I listen to that album through. There's so many layers of production on it you need to listen to it through something with quality seperation to get the best out of it. Its not Guns N Roses, but it is a great album.

Overall, I'd say I like Reinventing Axl Rose the best, but As the Eternal Cowboy comes up right behind it. I find they have completely different moods though, and if I'm in the mood for the latter, I could probably come up with something better that would fit in, whereas I can't come up with something better to replace Reinventing Axl Rose.

I don't think I ever even realised how little I know about these guys. I'm only familiar with like three or four of their albums.
