I was raised on KISS, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, The Doors and later European 70s and 80s punk and later Guns N' Roses, Nirvana, Alice and Chains, Soundgarden and even later Korn, Slipknot, Mudvayne and Mushroomhead and even later tnbm and uh Cradle of Filth and Bal-Sagoth.

also my father showed me Hüsker Dü sometime in between this so I checked out a lot of 80s hardcore bands to find out I definitely dig. and then I got an Embrace cassette from somewhere and found out about Rites of Spring and uh got emo basically.

My dad always had on B104 back in the late 80's so we always heard Whitesnake, Tears For Fears, Van Halen etc.

Once I got tapes of my own (yes cassette tapes) I got Classic Queen and Michael Jackson's Thriller + Dangerous. I later got GnR Use Your Illusion 1, Weezer's blue album and DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince cds. My sister got Boyz II Men's II, which I rocked quite a bit.

my parents mainly listened to classical music and some opera, i was brought up with mainly those, but they didn't really force anything onto me. Apparently my mum likes Pink Floyd but she never played any of those on the CD player when i was young. Until around I was 12 i started to pick up more pop and rock from my friends, and i slowly geared towards metal a few years later. So what my parents listened to had little to no effect to what i listen to now

Mum: African and English Folk stuff.

Dad: Rockabilly, Blues, old fart stuff.

My mum and Dad often ask what music i'm listening to if i put on some Prog Rock or soft Opeth, so idk maybe theyre into it.

My origins were a lot different to theirs,
Pop to compilations (classic rock, rap, hip hop, metal, everything) to GnR to SOAD to Metallica and then an explosion of metal (after a very very brief emo phase!)
