guys have you ever come across a band that has a sound that has WAY2MANY similarities to the band(s) they were influenced by?

like fuk what im getting at is exemplified by the whole norma jean "influenced" by botch thing. couldnt botch actually get them in trouble or at least kick each of them in the teeth for LITERALLY taking their sound and shi++ing on it? [this mainly applies to Bless the Martyr and O God]

itt name other bands that sound much too similar to their influences

Almost all bands. the average human being can learn musical skill, but innovation is a gift give to only the select few.

Believe it or not, every band has original sound because NO HUMAN BEING IS THE SAME. They are just heavily influenced... it's NOT like they're a cover band, lol.

It's all about personal taste and opinion too, so if someone thinks they did things different, then leave it alone; so be it.

older Norther sounds just like Children Of Bodom. I almost couldn't tell the difference.

Funny thing was NJ's botch influenced **** was their best ****.

But ya the even got Botch's producer, Matt Bayles, to reproduce Botch's sound on O God.

Also having two guitars altered up the sound abit.
