Heh, my new teaching set. Crappy old hardware, some original, some old Mapex stands and pedals....ancient heads. Tuned it up though, sounds pretty good, using my old Wuhan cymbals I bought when I first got my Sonors, and they're pretty good. Surprised how well the ride crashes, since I never crashed it before.

14x5.5 snare
13x8? tom (pretty shallow)
16x16 floor
22x14 bass

The seller talked to someone who estimated the set to be from the late 60s/early 70s....given the dimensions, I wouldn't be surprised.

Blue sparkle isn't really my thing but I still dig it.

Fiberskyns all round me thinks.

Ride could do with actually tilting towards you, spurs on the bass drum look mental and maybe straighten the rack tom a little - it's kinda drooping off to the left (from the drivers seat)

Oh yeah, forgot to mention the setup is all fragged up. That poor little tom stand wasn't being very cooperative. Didn't look at the ride stand all too much, I tried to tilt it toward me but it was having issues.

Eventually I'll save up and get real stands.

And yes those spurs are mental. As I said, old-school style hardware is not fun (but they are touching the ground).

How do you like those monitors? Rockit 5's?

Clean your room.

Er, that's my garage/studio. My room is even messier :D

If I cleaned it up all the time, I'd spend hours every week plugging stuff in and setting everything up all the time. I just leave things up.

Wow. It looks just like my new blue sparkle kit.

coincidence, but I guess so.

How do you like those monitors? Rockit 5's?

6's. Yes they are good, way better than the 5's and everything else in that price range. Though obviously not as good as monitors that cost 2-3 times that amount.

man, i'd get some replacement retro hardware for that. the drums themselves look like they're in fine shape.

Nice, they look great and sound great in the recording too. Vintage sparkle ftw

I agree you'll probably want to look into getting some different hardware though
