My friend played me this incredible riff, and gave me a few words to work off of, and these are the lyrics I've come up with. We're polishing the song, but when we record it, I'll post it up here. Anyways.

I might have to hear the music that goes with it, because all I can really hear in my head is a stale alt-rock "ballad" that you might hear on the radio.

I do like the the last two... couplets? lines? very much, though.
