Topic, tell us why it's your favorite.
Mine is definately Colors Live, while it mainly focuses on the guitarist and Tommy, I don't mind, because that's who I mainly focus on when watching them in concert.

no way. i think i would have tried to be, though. even though Zep is not high on my list of bands they once were and i respect what they do and have done. i've just heard the youtube stuff and a few songs from some boots
needless to say i was pretty amazed. i would just like to experience the entire thing from start to finish and "up close."
Prince of Darkness

i don't listen to metal. i guess i don't like it anymore. or at least the new stuff. and all the genres and sub genres is confusing. also a lot of the singers just sort of have this guttural growl these days. i really can't get into it. and oft times the band doesn't sound like they are playing with or off each other...but just for themselves
i suppose its just not my thing. so i don't have any metal dvd's. i suppose i might like a live show or two, though

Nirvana - Unplugged In New York
Judas Priest - Rising In The East (Always find myself watching this)
Iron Maiden - Live After Death
The Hives - Tussles in Brussels
Green Day - Bullet In a Bible (Interviews kinda put in stupid places, but good camera work)
Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin DVD
The Living End - From Here On In
Most dissapointing would be Motley Crue Carnival of Sins, they had the huge production but vine just cannot sing live and ruins it :(

On July 23rd of 2005, Manowar headlined the Earthshaker Fest 2005. This performance was a unique historical event as it included a grand finale featuring Manowar members past and present on stage as one powerful, heavy metal legion, as well as an epic set up with a 200-piece choir and orchestra. The majesty and emotion of this event and the overwhelming reaction of more than 25 000 fans in attendance serves as a fantastic example of the preeminence that Manowar embodies.
Accompanying this spectacular concert, the Manowar Mega Fan Convention itself was something to marvel at. Thousands of fans from countries across the globe converged on Geiselwind, Germany for three days of Manowar festivities. After witnessing the devotion and commitment of Manowar's fans, it is obvious why the band attests to having "the greatest fans in the world."
Their first headliner DVD recording, The Day The Earth Shook - The Absolute Power contains over 6 hours of footage, filmed in full 5.1 sound with 27 HD cameras and comes housed in a unique multiflap digipak with 12 page booklet.
The sound is amazing, the performance is amazing (100 piece symphony, 100 piece choir and Battle Hymns performed with every Manowar member, past and present?!) and the convention stuff is so ****ing good. My favourite part is where they take the show to a lull, then talk about their Wagner tribute. They start the tribute off by reading a letter from Wagner's estate explicitly condemning the idea of Manowar doing such a tribute, to which they reply with some variation of "**** you we're metal" and they do it anyways.
wtf I def posted Manowar last ****ing year and all these posers in crackerjack clothes are just now jumping on board.

I care, I care. Dude, last March me and this broad actually had an actual Manowar day where we did nothing but sit around and watch their DVDs + drink beer. And yeah I have some expensive clothes but it's more for the quality of them than the style, I'm a pretty basic guy when it comes to how I dress.
Regardless, it's fun to watch the DVD and count the costume changes. There's one time where Adams comes out in this ninja-turtle leather vest that's so tight it's slowly unzipping itself throughout the performance.
It is by far the best concert DVD eva, and easily the most hilarious as well.
