Alright so I was full into pop-punk music when I signed up into this forum in 2004 but the last couple of years I haven't really followed any of it but i'm getting back into it again now. Anyway I was just wondering who are the good pop punk bands these days?
Some of my favourite bands include:
- Blink 182 (Obviously)
- Bodyjar
- Bowling for Soup
- Fall Out Boy
- The Starting Line

Descendents are still around and Milo Goes To College is a good album, so yeah, Descendents - Milo Goes To College.
Threadstarter also doesnt like good pop-punk.
Saves The Day, Midtown, Get Up Kids, New Found Glory, and Set Your Goals (probably that CIV album from the same name too) are all good for 'new' pop-punk.

I bought the Milo Goes To College CD four years ago so it's obviously not a legitimate answer to my question.
And your opinion of 'good' pop-punk is obviously different from mine, but hey, i'm not hear to get into a pointless arguement over differing opinions.
Anyway thankyou to all of those who listed bands, I shall listen to all of the one's I don't already know.

All Time low are pretty terrible, that Coffee Shop song was alright bu the other stuff wasn't that good. I rememebr listening to a band called "We The Kings" and thinking thye were pretty catchy. All American rejects are also good for the poppier side of things.

There is a bunch of great pop/punk bands out now. Of course there are the huge ones everyone knows:
Fall Out Boy
Taking Back Sunday
New Found Glory
Blink182
and so on... But there is a slew of new bands coming out now, with a poppy but different vibe to them like:
Four Year Strong
A Day To Remember
And also, there are a ton of great pop punk bands coming out of Florida, who are builiding a fan base quick but are not singed right now:
Just Listen! (www.myspace.com/justlisten2)
The Sophomore Attempt (myspace.com/thesophomoreattempt)
There are a few more, but I wanna get the links together for ya. But check out all these guys especially the last two I named they have great sounds and are booking shows, and that band JustListen! just released a brand new 5 song EP titled "Your Car+Tree" about two days ago and it sounds sweet. Check em out guys!! Lemme know what ya thingk~

I saw The Loved Ones support NOFX in November 2007. They were pretty cool actually. They seemed kinda similar to NOFX actually in that they were quite punk-rock but it had an upbeat feel to it.
I also recommend checking Reese Roper's (Five Iron Frenzy) solo album, that is excellent. Its called 'Brace Yourself for the Mediocre'. Unfortunately, he's stopped making records :( well, he is contributing to a studio-only band but I think thats it.

Just listened to a couple tracks off their newest album. A lot better than I was expecting. But this is about as poppy as I'll let my punk get before it's too unbearable, haha.
I'll check out some of their other releases. Thanks for pushing me to listen to them, Firecracker :P

man everyone here has basically the same answer to "good pop punk bands today"
It's funny that people don't explore too far from the Epitaph, Fearless, Victory, Tooth & Nail, etc. bands.
Not saying that none of those bands are good... but I figured I was going to stroll in here and find some new cool **** to listen to...
I've been listening to a lot of Jap. punk rock/ pop punk bands lately.
Some are:
- Totalfat
- Northern 19
- F.I.B
Also there is Useless I.D. from Israel
and you also have from Canada:
- Living With Lions
- The Artist Life
- The FullyDown (RIP though)
Some others I think are ****ing great are:
- All or Nothing
- A Change of Pace
- ADTR
- Desoto Jones
- Farewell
- Homegrown (Kings of Pop and Act Your Age are the ****)
- A Loss for Words
- Four Year Strong
- Set Your Goals
- Fireworks
- Marathon (R.I.P)
- Much the Same (R.I.P)
- NFG
- Blink (Take off Your Pants & Jacket and back)
- NUFAN
- Reliant K
- The Swellers
- The Wedding
- The Wonder Years
- Yellowcard (R.I.P)
Anyways, my band is pop punk but it would be stupid for me to try and sneak it into my "list" but check it out if you want.
