I was just being honest gort. Instead of making a backing track and soloing over it. Texture some parts and make an entire song.

I love the wah, keep it up, just learn some harder songs to enhance your phrasing/licks

Learn the stuff that makes you go "WOW thats expressive" and learn it note for note, vibrato for vibrato, etc. it's a good way to build skill and your playing and improv. will be more emotive

IMO folks would do well to consider that you should try to be constructive especially when you don't like something. You have every right to poo poo someone but lets face it... if this kid were joe satriani he wouldn't be in here posting in the first place, and sure as hell wouldn't need anyones critique.

I'd say... pretty good phrasing... altho you do loose the rythm in a few spots.

the song has one part and unless you can bring it like yjm you should try to make it more interesting by changing sounds/tones more often, going to a slow part so your playing is heard over multiple backgrounds.

I think if you learn to showcase what you do well you'll impress more.

don't let critics get you down... some ppul just like to pee on a parade.
(no offense to parade pee'ers everywhere)

I really dug it man. I agree with the others about giving the song more depth but if it's just meant to be a quick, spicy guitar solo, then that is it.

I know I've heard that chord progression too, I dunno where, though. I've probably used it myself. Anyway, good work!

yah ... It's just a solo. I never solo. Ever. So I figured I'd try my hand at it and this is what I banged out. I think it turned out okay --- all things considered.

can't say I've ever listened to Blind Guardian.

Also, my wah is broken :upset:

they're pretty good. only power metal band worth listening to. songwriting that is convincing and dark, not lame and cheesy. plus the guitar player is great

Or in any Blink 182 or other pop-punk band.

The guitar work is nice. I dig.
