why do people think San Francisco is going to beat New Orleans? I actually think that's going to be a really close game.

1. 49ers have a real offense. They have a QB with a high passer rating, an ok receiving corps, and Frank Gore who is an all out beast.
2. The Saints won't have Jeremy Shockey or Marques Colston.

It's going to be a really close game but I think SF will eek it out. The Saints are rally-prone and have a lot of spirit but it won't be enough. Also, Reggie Bush isn't going to be able to turn the Niners' FAST linebacker corps into mince meat. Patrick Willis is a freak and will not let Bush turn the corner or take dump off passes for TDs this game.

um.... not really.
im pretty confident the saints are gonna stick this one out. someone said colston and shockey being out are a big deal?
colston out is a problem, but look at the last few weeks, theve been able to adjust nicely.
and shockey hasent even been much of a factor at all this season, look at his stats from the first few games. he did better last week but he still dint get any scores.
the saints have played agaist better defenses than SF and done well with the run, look at last week, i wouldent call denvers defense weak.
the problem theve been having is with 3rd down conversions, they havent been running duece the past few games, and hes a much more physical running back that Bush or Thomas. so theve suffered on third and short where a 3 yard carry up the middle is exactly what they need. in that situation duece is your man. but as i said before, hes been benced the last couple of weeks.
im concerned about the defense, especially our secondary. the saints have been plagued with injuries so far this season. and their defense has been severely weakened, this has been pretty obvious. is the saint want to succeed this week the need to stop the big plays. thats where there weak. look at the washington game, all of the scores in the 4th quarter when washington rallied for a comeback were 50+ yard passes.
so im thinking its gonna be yet another offensive shootout this week with saints vs 49ers. but saints on top if they can stop the big plays

2. The Saints won't have Jeremy Shockey or Marques Colston.
not that shockey was fueling the offense before he got injured.
MattSharpIsCool

Shockey does more than catch passes though. He's a great blocking tight end, and he gives linebackers another weapon to worry about in the middle of the field and deep, so they can't just sit in the box waiting for Bush.

the Bills are going to light it up who ever has Evans will have a big day. Even though Edwards will do better than Anderson, I still am starting Anderson.
I would say the Denver KC game will be the snore because it will be like 41-3 at half time.

hmm I'm 7-4 so far, which isn't half bad given there were three, what I would consider, upsets so far.
Eagles are down right now though, so we'll see. 9-4 would be nice.
