I can only imagine how many haters there are around the country but Yankee Stadium was like a friend growing up. My first time I attended a game was in 1977 when I was 6 years old and since then I had been there every year of my life, a couple of times a year. I was grateful to catch a game there this year and the only reason I went this year was because the stadium was going away.
Yankee Stadium was a lot bigger then baseball and the history held in those hallowed walls was something for the ages. I can't believe they're gonna tear it down.
Discuss your love, hatred or any memories any of you might be able to share. I could write volumes but who wants to read my ramblings?

like many people, my dad first took me there as a kid, in 91. we caught a foul ball by alvaro espinoza. been back about once a year since.
people can say a lot of things about yankee stadium, but if you've never walked in there and felt the magic and electricity in the air, i don't think you can really understand.

I went to one yankees game where the yankees were beating the white sox 8-0 in the 2nd inning.... then Clemens got rocked and the sox went on to win that game.
I sat in the mezzanine which was really nice since it was brutally hot outside.

Yea stop directing all your hate towards the Orioles please. It's not our fault we were the ones to play the last series. Blame the schedule maker for thinking that the Yankees were a shoe-in for the playoffs.

I'm pretty sure the Yankees have lost every game I've been too, at least in recent memory.
I'm not a Yankees fan so I'm not that upset about the stadium going away, but it was fun to go to games there. I'm pretty excited to see how baller the new one is.

Not from the area, definitely not a Yankee's fan. But Yankee stadium saw a lot of Historic moments, Notre Dame V Army and win one for the Gipper. Visits by Three different Popes. Three NFL championship games. (pre super bowl era) Prize Fights and Concerts.
I'm more of a Reds/Red Sox fan but a memory that sticks with me. Aaron "Frickin" Boone's shot to send them on to the series. The Yanks have always seemed to take the good players off the hands of the Reds. :( Paul O'Neil, Then Boone.

That's a good/sad Yankee Stadium moment.
Hopefully they rip down the sh*thole called Fenway too.

Reason #8,370 to hate the Yankees: Jorge Posada soaks his hands in his own urine before every game.
