I have only had the fortune of trying out an HQ real feel 6" pad, while I'm sure many of you all have tried nearly every practice pad on the market, if not all.
Would any of you know which is actually quietest? Unless it plays absolutely horrible...

HQs are the quietest i've played. and i've played most of them.
next step down in quietness is a pillow.

HQ are the quietest I've played as well, but instead of a pillow below that, I'd say Vic Firth came in second. They're actually both just as quiet, it's just that I would recommend the HQ over the firth, it gives a more realistic feel in my opinion.

The moongel pad is supposed to be near silent, but that's because all the energy of the stoke is absorbed by the surface, ie no rebound.

the HQ and vic firth pads are both pretty quiet as far as pads go. Although, I feel both have a little bit too much rebound and the remo pads are probably the most realistic, they are very noisy though.

If you put a thin sheet or something under the pad it also gets softer without changing the feel much
